Staying home in New Orleans

The end of June in New Orleans marks the beginning of what’s called the slow season. Just as in the 1800’s, people leave for the beach, for the mountains, for anywhere it’s not so hot. Recalling Kate Chopin’s, The Awakening, the heroine escaped to Grand Isle, Louisiana, a tiny barrier island at the western tip of the Mississippi River.

Me and Elise have to stay home. We have one more installment of our story to write. The Third Wife, and The Second Prince are completed. Now we are working on The First Queen. Stay tuned. I’ll post an excerpt next week.

  1. I am so happy to have found this. I can read Facebook posts, but I am not allowed to comment on anything on Facebook. My voice has been silent for months. I love you and miss you all. Much Reiki and Love, Teo
